Adding ceramic polishing waste as filler to reduce paste volume and improve carbonation and water resistances of mortar

Abstract The use of ceramic waste in concrete/mortar production as aggregate replacement or cement has been under consideration the last decade to find an effective way tackle growing hazard disposal. In this study, authors reutilize polishing (CPW) a filler replace equal volume paste mortar while keeping mixture proportions unchanged, i.e., new replacement. This design strategy allows larger amount CPW be added substantially reduce volume, and carbon footprint. mixes so produced had subjected carbonation water absorption tests, results showed that replacement, can significantly enhance resistances, addition environmental benefits reducing waste, Regression analysis test indicated for resistance, cementing efficiency factor was around 0.5, whereas higher than 1.0 at low content lower high content.
